Below are just some of the features you will find in the extensive BubbleSoft system.
Types of Exams you can create
• Standards-based or not
• Spanish / English
• Public or private (shared or not)
• Created from items in item bank (items can be added to banks)
• Imported from an existing exam (upload pdf or not)
• Quizzes (non-standards based items integrated in exams)
• Multiple Measures (District only) enter point range & standard for each assessment
• Can change question order, points, labels (abcd, 1234, alternating)
• Exams can be edited or copied
Item Banks
• 2 Item Banks – one populated by the district with “approved” items, and one populated by teachers.
• All items in the teacher created item bank can be either public or private
• All items in the “approved” item bank are public and are available for teachers to use in the exams they create
• Items are linked to CA Content Standards (or non standards-based)
• Items can be edited or copied
• Images can be added to questions, answers, passages
• Questions can be linked to passages
• Answer sheets printable for any exam (on plain paper)
• Exam (either print a PDF of imported exam, or BubbleSoft created PDF from exam using Item Bank)
• Combo exam / answer sheets so students can fill out bubbles on the exam sheet
• Answer key for any exam
• Answer sheets are printed per student from the roster – no need to fill in student ID
• Exam-specific generic answer sheets for new students
Navigating Exams
• All exams are separated into either Teacher or District created exams
• Find exams based on standard or key word
• Folder hierarchy created by admin for both Teacher and District exams
• Teachers have their own My Exams folder for exams they do not wish to share
• Folders show how many exams within that folder
• Each exam has icon for Multiple Measure, if a printable exam exists, My Creation, Spanish, Non-standards based, public/private
• Folder functions: Create New, Move, Delete, Rename
• Exam functions: Move, Delete, Move to District
• View exam details, exam question details, performance bands (coming soon)
Scanning
• Scan using standard scanning machines
• Scanned data is uploaded to database daily for grading & reports
• View list of all administered exams (shows teacher, # of scans, unresolved scans, date, etc.)
• View scans for each exam printed
• Resolve scanning issues
Other
• User levels allow for different access and permissions
• Contains California Content standards database
• Client-supplied roster data updated daily
• Extensive help files
• Supports grades K-6
