Steve's Turnin' 40! Join us in a fun kiteboarding vacation on Maui so the old man can kite with the younguns and try to hang on to his youth. July 23 - Aug 3, 2008 Steve's 40th Birthday Celebration
Woohoo - Steve is hiting the big Four-O.
Maui is such a pretty and small island that there should be plenty to do for everyone. Whether you want a sporty surfing/kiting holiday or want to find a less windy part of the island to relax, shop, sightsee, etc. there should be something for everyone. Then we can all party together in the evenings. There is world class kiteboarding and if any of you haven't seen this in action, it's quite exciting. Travel Plans Accomodation We are staying at Banana Bungalow Maui which is $25/bed or $70/double and has kitchen, hammocks, hot tub, free internet, kite storage, free daily tours of Maui, free beach shuttle to Kanaha Beach and airport, etc. We currently have 4 dorm beds reserved from July 23-Aug 3 and only need 2 of them at this point. For a more luxury hotel, try these:
Dates/Guests So far here's who is coming:
Kiting The best wind in July is probably going to be on the North of the island around Kahului so we'll probably try to stay near there. Maui averages 26 days in July with wind between 19-24 mph so there should be a lot of good kiting hours to be had. • Kite Beaches
Non-Kiting Quite honestly the beaches with the best conditions for kiting are not the best conditions for beaching. So you may want to check out other places like Hana, Lahaina, Haleakala. Here are the Free Tours given by the Banana Bungalow. |
